Meet some of our special P.A.L.'s (Pets Aching for Love)

These pets, through no fault of their own, are still waiting on loving families. While they may not be the flashiest, cutest, or best-looking in the bunch, their hearts are bigger than most. Please help us give their stories a happily-ever-after ending.

Schatzi has been waiting for a home much too long. We rescued her from the shelter last October and she’s been in a kennel ever since. A persistent stomach bug kept her away from adoption events for several weeks, but she’s fine now. So why is she still homeless? We don’t have a clue.

She’s quiet at adoption events—maybe she doesn’t stand out among the cute wiggling, furry puppies. She doesn’t bark to get attention—perhaps the yappy terriers distract adopters from her.

The only fault we can find with Schatzi is she’s a bit particular about who her friends are. She can be a little bossy around some, but not all, dogs and prefers to dine alone. But she loves people and kids and is very affectionate.

This sweet girl doesn't deserve to be sitting in a kennel forever. Please consider giving Schatzi a loving home!

Rebel was once a stray, emaciated and losing his hair from fungus and malnutrition.

That was then - this is now. He is one of the most loving dogs we've met. He's well-behaved, gets along with the five  dogs in his foster home and also walks well on a leash.

Rebel is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix,  neutered and current on vaccinations.

This young guy will make a great companion for someone with the time to love and take care of him.
