Rufus is a energetic German Shorthair Pointer mix. After he was rescued from the shelter, we learned he has heartworms. He's being treated and, although it'll be tough to keep him calm - a necessary part of treatment -he'll be back to full speed in no time!

Rufus needs a loving home - is it yours?

A cool, wet nose. A warm, furry lap buddy. Who doesn't enjoy the company of their pets?

Animals offer unconditional love and affection. But man doesn't always return the favor. Millions of healthy dogs and cats are euthanized each year merely because fate landed them in a shelter and luck failed to find them a home.

In our own community, over 2,500 animals die in the Walton County shelter annually, waiting in vain for the chance at a new life.

Walton Animal Guild works to improve the welfare of our local animals through education, sterilization programs, and other community outreach efforts.

Since our beginning in 2007, Walton Animal Guild has helped over 500 dogs and cats leave the Walton County shelter and find new homes. Supportive programs like low-income spay/neuter subsidies and a pet food pantry help owners keep their animals healthy and happy.

Together we're building a caring, compassionate community where companion animals receive the care and love they deserve.

                   Thank You for helping us!
